Sometimes I wish I could wave a magic wand and make time stand still. This weekend was way too short. And I wish we had 1 more day to spend as a family until we have to hit the grind of the work week again. The highlight of our weekend was finally making it to the beach. Halainah has not seen the beach since our fabulous trip to North Carolina last year thanks to Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Mario...now that was a great vacation. Halainah has certainly grown in a year's time. It's so hard to imagine our life without her. And I cannot wait until we have 2 little China dolls to love and spoil. Halainah needs a Mei Mei and we are getting closer to our second miracle.
Halainah yelled "yeah beach," as soon as we pulled up. And she took her daddy's hand and walked him straight towards the waves.
She was so happy to smell the fresh saltwater air and see the waves crashing against the shore.
The smile on her face melted my heart. I love to see my baby happy.
She stood waiting for the first wave to reach her little toes.
And squealed with delight "cold mama...cold!"
Before long she was playing and splashing in the water regardless of how cold it was.
After a while she decided it was time to enjoy some breakfast on the beach. Hard boiled eggs...her favorite...served on the beach...now that is the life.
Am I adorable or what? My baby has grown so much in 1 year.
Last year sporting the same bathing suit on the beautiful shores of North Carolina. My beach bunny was my baby beach bunny. Look how small she was.
Ahhhh....time flies way too quickly.
Happy 4th of July everyone!
Mei Mei's adoption Update:
1. We have our fingerprint appointments which are in a few weeks.
2. Our dossier has been state certified and has been sent to the Chinese Consulate to be authenticated.
3. We are still shooting for a LID (Log In Date) for end of September or early October. We are praying!

Love the pictures. I can't believe how much she has changed in a year. Hopefully the LID comes soon and then you will have two beach bunnies.
