This is going to be a quick post because frankly I'm mentally exhausted. We had a jammed packed weekend full of parties and gatherings. Our nephew TJ received his First Holy Communion and he looked so handsome. We celebrated as a family and it was a very nice evening. Believe it or not I don't have any pictures from this weekend. Not even a picture of my China treasure on my very first mother's day. I am so upset about that. Let's just say that Tony and I awoke on Mother's day to some unfortunate events with our home. And it's going to cost a lot of money to take care of. So the money that we have been saving in order to pay for the next home study for our 2nd hidden treasure is now going towards our unfortunate event. Now we have to start from square one trying to save again. Not easy when I am currently not working. So for those that really know us...this should come as no surprise. Because the story of my life is 1 step forward and 10 steps back. Regardless, it still was an amazing feeling to be able to celebrate Mother's day as a mom. I never thought I would see the day and I am so thankful for Halainah Grace, my shining light of God. And I am so thankful to everyone who supported us through our journey and helped me become a mom.
So even though I don't have any pictures from this weekend, I do have a few to share. It's been a while...enjoy!
Halainah loves pasta...
She's becoming more Italian every day!
Halainah's funny face...and she's a huge fan of her dads...check out her t-shirt! Poor thing is only at 5% for height on US charts. She is supposed to be wearing capri pants!
I am also trying to move her out of her 12 month clothes and into 18 months...but this is what I get!
Natalie gave her this bear in her box of goodies when we got home from China. Nat, she carries this bear everywhere and kisses it a million times a day.
Yes she is my little love bug who is so affectionate...I love her to pieces!!

Awww! Love her! I'm so glad she likes her bear. It was so stinkin' soft I had to get it ;)
LOL about the clothes! I go through this with Lauren, too. She finally made the 10th percentile for her weight at her 2-year check-up! The doctor actually used to worry me when she was a baby because of her petite size, but she was always healthy and happy in every other way. Besides, with me at 5' 2" and Shaun at 5' 8", it's not as if our kids are destined to be big people! Lauren can wear a 3T top, but there is NO way she could wear a 3T bottom. In fact, I bought her one pair of capris from Gymboree in size 18-24 thinking I'd be safe...NOPE! She'll be 3 in just two months and they were still HUGE in the waist! I've had to sew and pin more pants, shorts, and skirts than I'd like. The two older boys are more average height (but usually need slims, which can be hard to come by!), but Kyle is a short one, too. He's 4 1/2 and just now able to wear most 4 bottoms. Although, 2 pairs of Gymboree shorts I recently bought him go to his calves, LOL! Tip: I find folding over the waistband sometimes works well ;)
So sorry to hear about your house troubles, but I'm glad you had such a lovely weekend. You deserve it!
Good to see you back. Sorry about the house. Not a fun thing to spend money on.
Funny I just posted a pasta picture also.
